Internet

I chose the American Library Association, but I used another link within which was the Association for Library Service to Children. The ALSC is the world's largest organization dedicated to the support and enhancement of library service to children. ALSC's network includes more than 4200 children's and youth librarians, children's literature experts, publishers, education and library school faculty members, and other adults dedicated to creating a better future for children through libraries.
It was through this link that I was able to find pertinent information over the criteria of award winning books and even the criteria for the individual awards given to books.Being a new mom I think has pointed me in this direction especially since we have been getting tons of books.

Library Lit./BIP

I again used criteria for award winning books, here are my results:
Lib. Lit.
I first typed "criteria for award winning books"and received seven records. I then typed in "Printz award criteria" and only received one record. Which was the following:

Cart, M. Creating the Michael L. Printz award: a new book prize for a new millennium. Journal of Youth Services in Libraries v. 12 no. 4 (Summer 1999) p. 30-3

For BIP this is what my results were:
I first typed in "criteria for award winning books and received 12 records. Not truly relevant to my search. I then typed in "Printz award criteria" and received three records. I chose the following because it was the most relevant to my search.

Blogs seem to be a new form of communication amongst the computer savvy. Which is not me. I have only blogged for one other class, and I struggled each time getting to the log in page and posting a new post. (Hopefully this will make it through, and I will get better. I am all for improvement.)

My interest is in school library and I am hoping to be a high school librarian and bring the love of books to others.
